Gaurav and Bani, a couple who consider themselves the prime example of the “ideal couple,” face an unfortunate turn of events when Bani’s Strict, Sanskrit speaking and Sitar playing father, finds out about their relationship. He invites Gaurav for a chat before they can tie the knot and demands that they exchange their phones for a day as a “trust test.” As a result, they uncover each other’s secrets, leading to a situational comedy.

Junaid Khan’s theatrical debut is even more impressive than his previous OTT venture ‘Maharaj’. His diction of Hindi, body language and sheer confidence in front of the camera is a clear indication of ‘an actor in the making’….until he’s forced to Dance. While on the other hand, Khushi Kapoor’s theatrical debut is what we might call….’decent’ she delivers in some of the tense moments but still…..’could’ve been a lot better’!
The performances of the suporting cast is what holds your attention as a viewer for the most part, primarily Ashutosh Rana as Atul Sharma. He uderstood the assignment is all that we can say. Whereas the rest of the cast comprising of Kiku Sharda, Grusha Kapoor, Aaditya Kulshreshth, Nikhil Mehta & Jason Tham play a pivotal role in shaping the overall narrative of the film.

Loveyapa Original Remake Love Today
The problem with new-age Bollywood rom-coms is the lack of a concrete idea at the helm of the story, but Loveyapa avoids this blunder. The film showcases all its GEN-Z gimmicks upfront, while also creating space for the story to unfold and present something meaningful and important without coming across as preachy at all!
Loveyapa is a remake of the 2022 Tamil film ‘Love Today’ and boy it is a scene to scene, shot to shot & cut to cut remake. Even 80 to 85 % of the dialogues are the same. Hence if you’ve seen the original and are going in with an expectation of watching something different then…..lt’ll disappoint you for sure !
LOVEYAPA is an entertaining rom.com with a beautiful social message at its heart. Even though it is a cut-to-cut remake, it somehow still makes you appreciate it—only if you’re not expecting anything different from the original.
Loveyapa Movie Songs
The marketing team of Loveyapa needs to be studied with precision to understand why they chose to promote the single most annoying aspect of the film as their key promotional tool. The songs are good composition-wise, but they are shot and placed so poorly that they detach you from the screen. The choreography and production value of these songs resemble a college annual function while Junaid & Khushi look absolutely devoid of confidence in these songs. Truly disappointing!
